In addition to its LMS solution, nurturing talent has been one of the core focus areas at Plaid. The company recently completed the Beta testing of its online risk management program—Tightrope. The program provides education for college students about alcohol, drug use, hazing, and sexual misconduct. In 2019, Plaid rolled out its Chapter Advisor Training program that is designed for individuals of all ages who advise on interfraternal chapters. The program offers the education and training that chapter advisors/mentors need to be successful, confident, and prepared for advising the college students. It provides neutral modules that are applicable to any interfraternal organization and advisor experience alongside offering customization features for meeting the branding specifications of an organization.
In the spring of 2020, the company plans to bring a series of governance courses to the market to train nonprofit boards. The aim of the courses is to bring in clarity to nonprofit board members about their role as a member and assist in understanding and improving the way nonprofit boards conduct work. “We’re also implementing a Salesforce customer service backend for building out our own customer support model. Our main motive is to offer best-in-class customer service to all of users,” states Opicka.![]()

The company has been garnering massive traction in the market due to its quality service and team expertise. “Last year, our online user base grew by 500 percent. People always ask, how many users do you have on your LMS? It’s easier to say that by next fall, we’re going to have so many on our system and taking our courses that we might as well be the University of Tennessee,” chuckles Opicka.
Success stories of several global customers are a testament to Plaid’s capabilities and innovation. For instance, one of Plaid’s clients wanted to switch completely from insourcing to an outsourcing model. Once Plaid built the new curriculum and updated it online, there was no need for a qualified e-learning specialist on staff to help the organization maintain its courses. Plaid assisted the organization to seamlessly achieve the desired outcome and eventually save 50 percent on their hosting and other charges. Total outsourcing is a real solution -- from initial creation, maintenance, hosting, customer services, to recording, as an effective organizational management firm, Plaid does it all.
Touching upon the company’s upcoming endeavors, Opicka highlights that in 2020, the company aims to expand its market share gained through outsourcing and further increase its customer base. “In order to help organizations and individuals grow effectively, we are coming up with out-of-the-box solutions that are geared towards higher education and nonprofits. With a mission of elevating individuals and their organizations, we will continue to innovate our solutions and invest in the technology,” concludes Opicka.
