In recent years, the need for social isolation has forced educational systems to adopt technology-mediated teaching and learning practices. The adoption of remote learning has brought major challenges to the education sector in Brazil and throughout Latin America. Digital dependence has highlighted inequality as many students lack access to the internet. Undoubtedly, recent years have reinforced the importance of adopting public policies for digital inclusion and partnerships between the public and private sectors.

To help schools, managers, teachers, and students achieve their goals and excellent results, FTD Educação works with relevant technological solutions that facilitate the teaching-learning process on its platforms: Iônica, Estuda.com, Consultoria Online and ConteúdoAberto.

FTD Educação also invests strongly in technology, which is certainly another relevant company differentiator. In 2021, the adaptive learning startup Estuda.com, partially acquired by FTD Educação, tripled the number of students on the platform, from 2.8 million to eight million students, with BRL 8.5 million in revenue, and serving 1,300 private schools.

Recently, FTD Educação invested in a rebranding to update its brand. Inspired by the company’s conceptual pillars, the new brand became more modern, digital, and connected to the education transformation movement. It also partnered with Microsoft in 2021 with the goal to launch QuantBot—a 100 percent digital didactic material on robotics, programming, and digital entrepreneurship with interaction through Microsoft’s voice command and cloud.

In recent months, FTD Educação has started to structure open innovation initiatives and strategic partnerships. This guarantees FTD Educação’s and its customers’ access to the best available technologies and boosts new companies in the market.
